A picture is widely being shared on the internet which shows a screengrab of a bulletin by a Hindi news channel Zee News.

In the screengrab, it is being claimed that there will be another lockdown after June 15 and the Ministry of Home Affairs has indicated that the services of trains and flights will be halted.

“15 जून के बाद फिर से हो सकता है सम्पूर्ण लॉकडाउन गृह मंत्रालय ने दिये संकेत , ट्रेन और हवाई सफर पे लगेगा ब्रेक” the caption read in Hindi.

(Translation: There is a possibility of complete lockdown after June 15. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has signalled that train and air travel could be stopped)

Government sources have confirmed that the post in question is misleading and false.

In fact, the Press Information Bureau (PIB), in a tweet, explicitly clarified that this information is untrue.

Moreover, Zee News also put out a clarification that the viral graphic was not broadcast by the channel and is, in fact, photoshopped.

 

Moreover, there has been no official statement released by the government yet regarding a possible lockdown post June 15, 2020.

Hence, the above information proves that the post in question is misleading and fake.
