NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same image was uploaded on a Facebook page on December 13, 2018. The image was shared with a caption that read in English (As translated by Google) as, “We are Belarusians. Not potatoes, as our eastern neighbors used to call us. Another website, Yandex.Ru published the same image on September 16, 2021, with a headline, “Who are Belarusian Zmagars, how do they differ from Bandera, why they don’t like Russia.”
Also, according to a media report, Belarus is joining Russian forces against Ukraine. According to Kyiv Independent, “Reports suggest Belarus prepares to send its troops to Ukraine, joining Putin in war.”
