North-western parts of India is gripped in the serious attack of the heatwave.
As of now, heatwave is prevailing over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Northwest Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and East Madhya Pradesh, says IMD reports.
“Heat wave could lead to moderate health concern for vulnerable people e.g. infants, elderly, people with chronic diseases over heat wave affected areas”, said IMD in its weather report.
Pre monsoon showers in Mumbai
Monsoon arrives before the expected arrival, various parts of Mumbai witnessed the early arrival of the monsoon with moderate rainfall and thunderstorms.
Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan Goa witnessed heavy rainfall. Light to Moderate rainfall and thunderstorms are reported to likely occur in the regions of Konkan Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada says the Regional Meteorological Department of Mumbai.
Torrential rains trigger floods in Assam
Several villages submerged due to floods triggered by torrential rains in the South Salmara district of Assam affecting hundreds of families in the region.
Heavy rainfall has triggered water logging in various parts of Guwahati city including the Kahilipara, Jatia, and Hatigaon areas.
