An image has gone viral on social media, in which the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) presidential candidate, Draupadi Murmu, is seen along with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, Mohan Bhagwat. The image is shared with a caption suggesting that Murmu went to meet Bhagwat.
The image is shared with a caption that reads: “ബിജെപിയുടെ രാഷ്ട്രപതി സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി ദ്രൗപതി മുർമു നാഗ്പൂരിലെ ആർഎസ്എസ് ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് മോഹൻ ഭഗവതിനെ സന്ദർശിച്ചു! അവർ ഒരു റബ്ബർ സ്റ്റാമ്പ് മാത്രമായിരിക്കുമെന്നും സ്വതന്ത്രമായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ലെന്നും എന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ സംശയമുണ്ടോ?” (English translation: “BJP’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu
visits Mohan Bhagwat at RSS headquarters in Nagpur! Any doubt that they will just be
a rubber stamp and cannot function independently?”)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be fake.
On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the original image uploaded by Newsroom Post on March 11, 2022.
The post reads: “Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) annual three-day Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, which will deliberate on various issues, including expansion of the organisation, began in Ahmedabad on March 11, 2022”
In this image, Mohan Bhagwat appears on the right side of the frame. We cannot see Murmu in this image.
Also, we found a BBC report published on June 23, 2022, featuring Murmu wearing the same sky blue saree with a mask and white band on her hand. However, in this image, Murmu is welcoming Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Hence, we can ascertain that the viral image is made by merging two images and the viral image is morphed.
