FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the post, it was found to be scripted, and NOT from India.

We extracted the keyframes of the video and put them through a Reverse Image Search.  The search led us to Al Hadath, an Arabic news website, which had published a screenshot of the same video.

The article, dated June 29, 2022, stated that it was a staged video, created by four teenagers in Egypt to gain views on social media. However, the video went viral creating panic in the community.

We also found more articles related to the same incident. The articles can be read here and here.

The reports also mentioned that after the video went viral in Egypt, the Ministry of Interior published a video on Facebook and Instagram on June 29, 2022, clarifying that the video was staged and NOT real.

The post mentioned that the four people are residents of Sohag Governorate in Egypt, and the fabricated video was created with the motive of achieving a high financial return by increasing the viewership.

Thus, it is clear that the viral video is staged, and NOT from India.
