Volvo Car India just launched its locally assembled electric SUV XC40 recharged model in India at Rs 55.9 lakh. This is the first locally assembled luxury electric vehicle in India.
The pre-booking for the Volvo XC40 recharge SUV has started at a refundable amount of Rs 50,000. Buyers can place orders and make payments directly on the Volvo car India website. The price of an SUV consists of 3 years of comprehensive car warranty, 8 years of battery warranty, 1 wall box charger of 11 kW through a third party and 4 years of subscription to digital services.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge is powered up by a twin motor, permanent All-wheel Drive setup which can produce 408 hp and a torque of 660 Nm. It can go from 0-100 in 4.9 sec and achieve a top speed of 180 km/h. The claimed range for this SUV is 400 km on a single charge.
Talking about the features the SUV is loaded with built-in Google Assistant, Google Maps, and more on Google Play right in the car for a helpful, personalised and seamless driving experience. A Cleaner cabin air with an Advanced air purifier system that prevents up to 80% of hazardous PM 2.5 particles from entering the cabin.
An Advanced driver assistance technology that helps to maintain a safe distance to cars in front by adapting your speed, keeping your car centred in the lane, informing you when it’s time to resume driving and even bringing the vehicle to a complete stop in the event of an unresponsive driver. A 360-degree parking view, Cross traffic alert with auto brake to support the driver when reversing with limited view, blind spot information system (BLIS) to provide active support when changing lanes.
It also has an advanced body structure and unique battery safety cage designed to protect all occupants in a collision and to help protect the occupants of another vehicle too.
