Bengaluru Court Orders Blocking Twitter Handles Of Congress And Bharat Jodo Yatra Over Copyright Issue

Bengaluru: A Karnataka court on Monday ordered the blocking of the Congress party’s Twitter handles in connection with a complaint filed by a music company over the alleged illegal use of KGF Chapter 2 movie music.

The court has directed Twitter to temporarily block the Twitter accounts of Congress and Bharat Jodo Yatra for allegedly infringing the statutory copyright owned by MRT Music by illegally using sound recordings of the film KGF Chapter-2.

According to reports, The complaint was filed by MRT music and an FIR was lodged against Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and Supriya Shrinate at Yeshwanthpur Police Station.
