Ever since the objects were spotted, people have been speculating about the appearance of UFOs in the sky. Against this backdrop, multiple posts claiming that a UFO was spotted on a highway in America are doing the rounds on social media.

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we identified a video on an unverified Twitter account, published on September 20, 2020, long before the balloon or other objects were spotted in the US.
While the caption states that the video is of a UFO sighting in New Jersey, a few comments on the same say that it was a Blimp.
With a Google Search, we found a September 15, 2020 news article in New York Post — a daily tabloid from New York. Rejecting the claim that the flying object was a UFO, it clarifies that it was indeed a Blimp from Goodyear flying overhead near MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
The claim had been also debunked by Fox News.
According to another news article in Insider, dated September 15, 2020, a representative for Goodyear confirms that the company flew a blimp in New York City and northern New Jersey a day before.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral posts, claiming that a UFO was spotted on a highway in US, are fake.
