Strong Tremors In Delhi-NCR As 6.6 Magnitude Earthquake Hit Afghanistan

New Delhi: Strong tremors of earthquake were felt in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday night.

Tremors were also felt in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand and Jammu And Kashmir.

According to National Centre for Seismology, a 6.6 magnitude hit Afghanistan at 10:17 PM.

Tremors reportedly lasted for approx 30 seconds, many people rushed out of the buildings to open areas.

The shocks were felt in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar.

“An Earthquake that hit Afghanistan was of the magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter Scale (133km SSE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan) at 10:17 pm IST,” National Centre for Seismology stated.
