Himachal CM Sukhu Launches ‘Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023’ Website For Disaster-Affected People

New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unveiled the “Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023” website on Sunday, marking the commencement of the digital platform designed to assist those affected by disasters in the state.

According to an official statement, the website enables individuals to contribute funds to the “Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023” from any location, utilising diverse payment methods including debit cards, credit cards, net banking, QR code, and UPI.

CM Sukhu acknowledged the extensive scale of the tragedy and the heartfelt desire of people from within the country and abroad to provide assistance. During the launch event, CM Sukhu extended his thanks to employee organisations and individuals nationwide who have already contributed to the “Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023”. He further announced that he, along with his cabinet colleagues and all Congress MLAs, have collectively decided to donate their one month’s salary in support of the cause.

The CM further mentioned that preparations were in progress to enable online donations from overseas sources in the coming days.

The Department of Digital Technology and Governance has developed a transparent web link for online donations, providing instant mobile receipts. It is integrated with multiple payment gateways for seamless transactions.

In light of the severity of the situation, the Chief Minister emphasised the immense losses suffered by Himachal Pradesh due to unprecedented rainfall, deeming it the worst calamity in the state’s history over the past 50 years. Urging everyone to contribute generously, Sukhu called for maximum financial support to aid the state’s recovery from the devastating impact.
