FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

Performing a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, our team identified a YouTube channel ‘WE News’ carrying the original clip, dated August 1, 2023, wherein Imran Khan was interviewed regarding the elections and his administration.

The viral video has been edited by using different timestamps extracted from the original, more extended version, and manipulated. Furthermore, the genuine video featuring Khan discussing the government was uploaded on August 1, 2023, and he was arrested on August 5, 2023.

The original video also indicates that Khan’s eyes were not shut, which contrasts with the edited viral video where his eyes appear closed.

Thus, it is clear that an edited video is shared as former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was tortured in jail.
