New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organisation has made history with the successful soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3 lander, Vikram, on the Moon. India now stands as the first country to achieve this feat at the lunar South Pole. Additionally, India also joined the elite list of countries to have made landings on the moon after Russia, China, and the United States.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, presently attending the 15th BRICS summit in South Africa, observed the momentous landing virtually. Following the successful touchdown of the Vikram Lander, the Prime Minister hailed it as a historic achievement, marking the dawn of a new India.
“When we see such historic moments it makes us very proud. This is the dawn of new India,” PM Modi said.
PM Modi congratulated ISRO scientists for the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
“Historic day for India’s space sector. Congratulations to @isro for the remarkable success of Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission,” PM Modi said.
