Nuh: Security has been tightened in the Nuh district of Haryana ahead of the yatra organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday. Police personnel have been deployed at the Sohna-Nuh toll plaza in Gurugram ahead of the yatra.
Talking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Nuh, Dhirendra Khadgata, said no permission has been granted for the yatra. He further stated that strict measures have been put in place, including the imposition of Section 144.
Notably, 13 paramilitary companies, three Haryana Armed Police units, and a total of 657 police personnel have been stationed in the area. Internet services will also be suspended on the day of the yatra, and schools and markets have also been ordered to remain closed.
“We have not given any permission for the yatra…We have made all the arrangements for tomorrow. Section 144 has been imposed. Force deployment has been done…13 companies of Paramilitary, three companies of Haryana Armed Police (HAP), and 657 Police personnel have been deployed…Internet service will be suspended for tomorrow…The administration has given clear instructions to take the necessary action against those who try to violate Section 144. We will lodge an FIR against them…Schools and markets will remain closed tomorrow,” Khadgata said.
Talking about the VHP yatra in Nuh, IG, South Range Rewari, Rajender says, “The Local and State Administration has denied the permission (for the yatra) and we are also trying to maintain a peaceful environment through mutual understanding. For Law & Order, force deployment has been done in the area…”
On August 13, VHP announced that they would bring out a Brij Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra on August 28.
