FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be misleading.

Running the keyframes of the video through Reverse Image Search, our team traced the same video uploaded on YouTube, dated July 19, 2023, with a title: “Train crashes into a truck in Semarang, Indonesia.”

As per the video description, a truck was hit by a train at a level crossing on Jalan Madukoro Raya, West Semarang District, Semarang City, Central Java on the night of July 18, 2023. There were no fatalities in the incident.

Another video of the same incident, taken from a different angle, had also been shared by Sky News Australia and TRT World in July 2023.

According to The Jakarta Post, the accident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. (local time) on July 18, 2023, after a flatbed truck suddenly stalled on the train tracks when it was about to cross the railway crossing on Jl. Madukoro, Semarang.

BBC and Fox News had also carried similar reports mentioning that the crew were able to get all 626 passengers off the train successfully and only one passenger suffered minor injuries as he jumped from the train.

Thus, it is clear that the video is not from India.
