Get Ready For Dark Side Of Ranbir Kapoor In ‘Animal’; Check Out Teaser

Date:

New Delhi: As Ranbir Kapoor turns 41st on Thursday, the creators of the movie ‘Animal’ decided to gift fans with a glimpse of their upcoming film. The teaser they dropped was nothing short of intense, setting the stage for what promises to be a gripping cinematic experience.

The teaser commences with a serene scene, as Ranbir Kapoor’s character takes a leisurely stroll with his love interest, Rashmika Mandanna.

Their tranquil moment is disrupted when Rashmika poses a thought-provoking question, “Have you ever thought about having children?” Ranbir’s response is candid; he expresses his desire to become a father. But when Rashmika inquires if he will emulate his own father, a storm of memories engulfs Ranbir, revealing a complex and troubled relationship with his dad, portrayed by Anil Kapoor.

Flashbacks flash across the screen, depicting a painful and relentless series of fatherly slaps.

Returning to the present, Ranbir passionately argues with Rashmika, insisting that his father is “the best father in the world.” Anil Kapoor, owning up to his parenting flaws, admits, “I’m sure I made some mistakes. I didn’t know how to raise a son.” Ranbir responds with conviction, “You raised me well,” and the mood intensifies with dramatic music as glimpses of his transformation into a gangster emerge. The teaser concludes with a battered Ranbir Kapoor, bloodied and bruised, issuing a stern voiceover warning to his father that this is just the beginning, with more chaos yet to unfold. He goes on to challenge his father to “finish him,” with the mysterious “him” being none other than Bobby Deol, who makes a silent and ominous appearance, wielding a knife.

Initially slated for release on August 11, “Animal” would have clashed with Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2” and Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s “OMG 2.” However, the makers decided to push the release date to December. “Gadar 2” enjoyed immense success at the box office, while “OMG 2” found moderate success.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, renowned for his work in “Arjun Reddy,” “Animal” boasts a star-studded cast featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles. Brace yourselves for an electrifying tale of family, conflict, and transformation as “Animal” gears up to hit the screens this December.
