A picture featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan is extensively shared on social media. In the image, SRK and Salman can be seen with a tilak on their foreheads, and Salman wearing saffron-coloured clothing.

The image is shared on Facebook with a caption: “मोदी है तो मुमकिन है देख लो आप सभी लोग कभी सनातन धर्म को गलत तरीके से टिपनी करने वाले भी आज सनातन संस्कृति का गुण गा रहे है तभी तो कहता हूं मोदी है तो मुमकिन है” (English translation: If there is Modi then it is possible. Look, all of you who once commented on Sanatan Dharma in a wrong way are today singing the praises of Sanatan culture, that is why I say if there is Modi, then it is possible)

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE. 

Doing a simple Reverse Image Search, our team identified the Jagran website carrying the original image, dated September 25, 2023. The original image shows Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde standing between Salman and SRK. Neither of the actors is wearing a tilak on their foreheads. The article reads: “Salman and Shah Rukh went to Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s house to have darshan of Ganpati Bappa and got photographed with Eknath. Many Bollywood stars went to Shinde’s house to have darshan of Bappa.”

The video report associated with the viral image is available on the official YouTube channel of ‘Viral Bollywood’. Uploaded on September 25, 2023, the video shows Salman and Shah Rukh without any tilak on their foreheads, and CM Shinde standing between them.
