New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, inaugurated and laid the foundation of several development projects in Uttarakhand, collectively valued at nearly Rs 4,200 crore.
Comprising a total of 23, these projects will provide a boost to the infrastructure, education, health, electricity, drinking water, sports, tourism, disaster mitigation, and horticulture sectors in the hilly state.
The projects initiated by the prime minister during the event in Pithoragarh included various developments, such as 21,398 poly-houses, the establishment of high-density intensive apple orchards, the execution of five road double-laning projects, slope treatment for national highways, and the construction of 32 bridges across the state.
This also involved reinforcing the disaster management framework, enhancing educational, health, and sports amenities, and the transformation of temples in the Manaskhand region, mirroring the Chardham model.
Among the projects inaugurated by Modi were a range of infrastructure development projects, along with endeavors to enhance the accessibility of drinking water and electricity facilities in the mountainous regions.
