A video of a woman riding a bike with a Zomato delivery bag has surfaced on the internet and it is being claimed that the food aggregating platform, Zomato, has hired a model to drive around the city of Indore with an empty bag.

After the video went viral, users have been questioning Zomato for fluting traffic rules and the woman in the video can be seen riding the bike without a helmet.
FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found that the claim attached to the video is misleading.
On running a keyword search on Google, we came across an X post (formerly known as Twitter) by Zomato CEO, Deepinder Goyal, in which he refuted the claims.
Resharing the video, Goyal clarified that the video has no connection with Zomato stating that the company does not have any marketing head in Indore.
“Hey! We had absolutely nothing to do with this. We don’t endorse helmet-less biking. Also, we don’t have a “Indore Marketing Head”, Goyal wrote.
“This seems to be someone just “free-riding” on our brand. Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with women delivering food – we have hundreds of women who deliver food everyday to earn a livelihood for their families, and we are proud of their work ethic,” he added.
