A news report, dated September 06, 2023, also carries similar visuals. According to the report, a powerful mudflow that struck on the night of August 27 in the rural Jamoat of Chuyangaron in Vahdat took away Safiallah, his grandmother and three other children. Of the five, the grandmother and two of her grandchildren survived.
The heavy rains that occurred on August 27 caused mudflows, rockfalls and landslides in nine cities and regions of Tajikistan. The mudflow destroyed dozens of houses, kilometres of roads and power lines. According to official data, 21 people became victims of the natural disaster.
Thus, it is confirmed that the viral video is from Tajikistan, and not related to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.
