Earlier this month on the occasion of Pooja Hegde’s birthday, the fans got a big surprise after the announcement of her new project opposite Shahid Kapoor. The announcement was made by two production houses together- Zee Studios and Roy Kapoor Films.
Now, today on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, the makers have finally unveiled the title of the film as well. It is ‘Deva’ and the film will hit the silver screens next year on the occasion of Dussehra only.
Earlier today, Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram account to announce the name of the film but he also surprised his fans with the first look from this upcoimg thriller. In the picture Shahid can be seen in a white shirt paired with khakhi colored pants and sunglasses. The actor can be seen posing with a gun. His rugged and the massy look in the picture has all his fans excited.
Other then the name and the date of release not much is still known about the movie. According to media reports, this new project which is bringing together a fresh pairing of Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde is a thriller. But rumours have it that, this new project will be helmed by Rosshan Andrews, and this will also mark his debut in Bollywood.
Rosshan Andrrews is an Indian film director who mainly works in Malayalam cinema. He has worked with South superstars like Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Dulquer Salmaan, Jyothika, and Manju Warrier, among others.
However, on the work front, Shahid is currently shooting for his untitled project opposite Kriti Sanon. He was last seen in the JioCinema release Bloody Daddy. Whereas, Pooja Hegde will be next seen in Housefull 5, AA21- a Telugu drama, among others.
