FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be false.
Searching the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, the NM team traced the same video shared on Facebook, dated September 24, 2019.
As per the post, police lathi-charged the women of Anganwadi Sevika Sahayika Sangh, who were marching towards the chief minister’s residence in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
According to another article in Dainik Bhaskar website, in 2019, the Anganwadi workers were protesting and had several demands such as an increase in monthly wages and providing health insurance, etc. They were marching towards the residence of the chief minister when they were stopped by the police, which led to an altercation between the police and Anganwadi workers.
Hence, it’s confirmed that a 2019 video from Jharkhand has gone viral falsely claiming that it recently happened in Madhya Pradesh.
