The video of a dome covering a stadium is doing rounds on social media. The clip claims that the dome over the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow allows the games to continue during rain, too, since it protects the pitch from getting wet.
(English translation: ‘Ekana Stadium’ was built in Lucknow by the efforts of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav. This is the world’s first hi-tech stadium where even rain cannot disrupt the match.)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be false.
We noticed that ‘Rogers Centre’ was written on the side of the stadium. Searching further, our team traced the same video on YouTube, uploaded on April 25, 2023, with a title: “The Toronto Blue Jays’ stadium has a mesmerising retractable roof.”
We also found another video of the same stadium shared with a title: “Toronto Skydome Roof Opening.”
In fact, the Rogers Centre (originally SkyDome) is a multi-purpose retractable roof stadium in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. More videos of the stadium can be seen here and here.
Thus, we can conclusively say that the viral post of a stadium in Canada is falsely shared as Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, UP, India.
