Mumbai: A man was arrested in Mumbai for allegedly participating in the unlawful sale of tickets for the World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand.

Police said that Roshan Gurubakshani was caught in Mumbai trying to sell World Cup semi-final tickets for Rs 1,20,000 each. They seized two tickets from him, and a case has been registered against Gurubakshani and another person. Authorities are now searching for the second accused connected to the alleged ticket black marketing.

India is set to face New Zealand in the inaugural semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tomorrow at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

The Indian team heads into the upcoming match with a perfect record in the group stage, winning all nine of their league matches.
