Australia emerged victorious in the recently cricket World Cup 2023 after beating India by 6 wickets in the final. Against this backdrop, a video showing David Warner on the boundary line calming down the audience is doing the rounds on social media. Chant of Jai Shree Ram can be heard in the background. Many users claim that teasing David Warner with chants of Jai Shree Ram has cost us the World Cup.
A Facebook user posted the viral post with a caption: जय श्री राम का नारा लगाकर डेविड वार्नर को चिराना इंडिया को महंगा पड़ गया इंडिया आज वर्ल्ड कप हारा है तो यह सब का नतीजा है 🥲🥲 क्रिकेट को क्रिकेट के नजरिए से देखा जाए तो ज्यादा बेहतर (English translation: Teasing David Warner by shouting Jai Shri Ram has become costly for India. And India lost the World Cup. So, it is better if cricket is seen through cricket perspective.)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team traced a YouTube video, dated October 28, 2023, on an unverified channel. The video matches exactly with the viral clip except for the chants in the background. Here, we can hear the audience asking Warner to do a dance step for them.
Searching further, we came across another YouTube video, dated October 27, 2023, on another unverified account. The video looks similar to the viral clip, but without the chants. Here too, we can hear the audience asking Warner to dance and he actually performs a step for them.
Given that both the videos are from October 2023, whereas the final of the World Cup was played on November 19, 2023, the viral clip cannot be related to the final.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Indian fans chanted Jai Shree Ram in front of David Warner in the Cricket World Cup final, is edited.
