Many social media users claim that it shows the before and after visuals of a man who sustained severe burns while saving his girlfriend from a fire. The post alleges that his girlfriend later left him.

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be false.
The NM team could not find any credible media reports which can corroborate the viral claim. Running the video keyframes through Reverse Image Search, we traced an Instagram handle of the person without burn injuries seen in the video. The man was identified as Huo FanFan. He shared this image and saw the viral video back in September 2021. According to his Facebook handle bio, he works at the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) in Shanghai, China.

We also found a Facebook post shared by Huo FanFan, dated November 12, denying the viral claim. Huo FanFan shared a TikTok post and mentioned that a user named, “gilbert_ed1tz”, had created a fake video by misusing his photo. He wrote, “Please tell him to delete this video! I don’t know why he made this video using my photo! The video is so popular on TikTok! thank you all.”
Thus, it is confirmed that the video is viral with false claims.
