New Delhi: If you’re an avid social media user, chances are you’ve come across the viral ‘Moye Moye’ trend. This internet sensation began with a Serbian song that gained massive popularity on TikTok and later extended to various social platforms. In India, users have incorporated this melody into videos, humorous memes, and diverse creative content. Capitalizing on this social media trend, BJP minister Piyush Goyal also joined in, using the song to tease Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
After Congress faced a major setback in the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, Goyal took a jab at the party leader. He shared an older video of Rahul Gandhi acknowledging the loss of government in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. The union minister added the trending “Moye Moye” song as background music and wrote, “Rahul ji’s prediction came true,” in Hindi.

Since its posting, the video has crossed over 832,000 views and gained more than 20,000 likes. Goyal shared this post in response to the defeat of the Congress party in the assembly elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
The video used by the BJP minister is from a press conference conducted by Rahul Gandhi in October. Following the announcement of the election schedule in five states, Gandhi, in response to a question about the party’s prospects, unintentionally mentioned that the governments in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh were going.
“In Madhya Pradesh, their state government is going, the government is also going in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and also in Telangana. Sorry, I spoke wrongly. You confused me,” Gandhi said.
“In Chhattisgarh, our government is in place and is set to return, just like in Rajasthan. However, the BJP’s government in Madhya Pradesh is on the decline. In Telangana, their (BRS) government is on the way out, and ours is on the ascent,” he added.
