Security Review Meet Held In Kashmir Ahead Of Supreme Court Verdict On Article 370

New Delhi: Top police and administrative authorities held a meeting on Friday to address “law and order” concerns ahead of the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Article 370 case.

A senior Jammu and Kashmir Police officer stated that strict measures will be enforced against those engaged in any misconduct or misuse of social media.

The joint meeting, led by Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, J&K, Vijay Kumar, marked the first meeting of all district magistrates and senior superintendents of police in the Kashmir division at PCR Kashmir.

This meeting precedes the Supreme Court’s ruling on Monday in the Article 370 case. Attendees included Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, IGP Kashmir, Deputy Director Intelligence Bureau, DIGs of all ranges of Kashmir, DIG-CID, and SSP, PCR Kashmir.

During the session, officers briefed Kumar on the current law and order situation and potential events that may arise following the verdict. District heads received instructions to stay vigilant and take necessary preventive and punitive measures against those disrupting peace.
