Jaipur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, announced Bhajanlal Sharma as the new chief minister of Rajasthan. Sharma is a first-time MLA hailing from the Sanganer constituency.

Meanwhile Diya Singh and Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa is set to become Rajasthan deputy CM.
Sharma defeated Pushpendra Bhardwaj of the Congress party in the Sanganer Assembly election, winning by a margin of 48,081 votes. He is a four-time state general secretary for the BJP.
In the recent Rajasthan assembly polls, the BJP secured 115 seats out of 199, leading to the ousting of the incumbent Ashok Gehlot government, while the Congress won 69 seats. Rajasthan polls were conducted on 199 seats out of 200 assembly seats on November 25.
