A screenshot of a tweet claiming Virak Kohli ate beef at a restaurant in Florida, US, is doing the rounds on social media. A picture of Virat Kohli alongside his wife, Anushka Sharma, can be seen in the tweet right next to a restaurant bill with beef as one of the ordered items. Many users have criticised Kohli for eating beef.

Dear Bakths
Conduct feces test.
The tweet caption states: just in: viral restaurant bill of Virat Kohli & Anushka Sharma in Florida, USA.

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be FALSE.
If any restaurant bill related to Virat Kohli had been leaked, it would have made major headlines in the media outlets. Our team couldn’t find a single credible news source about this.
Searching further, our team traced a news article in The Sun, dated December 7, 2021, and titled: “Ouch, I was handed eye-watering $600 bill at Gordon Ramsay restaurant after misreading the menu – but I don’t regret it.”
The bill in the article matches exactly with the one in the viral screenshot. According to the article, a couple was billed over $600 because they misread the price of the Triple Seared Japanese A5, at a Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse in Atlantic City, USA.
IndiaTimes, too, covered the story around the same time. This confirms that the bill has nothing to do with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.
Our team also found the viral screenshot image on Virat’s official handle — Instagram post — dated October 20. According to the NDTV report, Kohli was in UAE for T20I World Cup 2021, when the picture was taken.
As the viral image is neither recent nor the bill belongs to Virat Kohli, we can conclusively say that the viral post is fabricated.
