New Delhi: The spree of suspension from the Lok Sabha continues, as now three more MPs have been suspended from the Lower House of the Parliament. Unruly behiour was cited behind the suspension of these three MPs. Now the total number suspensions has reached to an unprecedented 146.
The three new suspended MPs are Congress’ Deepak Baij, DK Suresh and Nakul Nath who is the son of veteran leader Kamal Nath. With this the total number of MPs suspended from the lower house of the Parliament alone stands at 100.
This series of suspension has been on the go since the start of this week. It all started after the Opposition demanded Union Home Minister Amit Shah to address the security breach in the Lok Sabha, the incident where two men escaped inside the cahmber and popped gas canisters during the house proceedings.
Since then the issue has been snowballing, now to the point of becoming the reason behind stand-off between the opposition and the government. The issue took all the more an ugle turn after the whole mimicry row of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar by a MP of Trinamool Congress.
However, the oppostion is now alleging that all these suspensions is actually a thought through tactic of the central government for the easy passage of some of the crucial bills inside the Parliament without any hindrance or discussion.
To express their dissent, the suspended MPs today had organised a protest march from the Parliament building to Vijay Chowk, alleging that government is doing away the democracy of the Parliament.
