PM Modi Sleeping On Floor, Drinking Only Coconut Water For Ram Temple Consecration: Sources

Date:

Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi last Friday announced that he has started an 11-day special ritual in preparation for the grand consecration ceremony on January 22. During this period, sources on Thursday shared that the Prime Minister is choosing to sleep on the floor and consume only coconut water as part of the ritual.

On January 12, PM Modi shared a video announcing the initiation of the ritual. He expressed his gratitude for being able to witness the “historic” and “auspicious” occasion of the Pran Pratishtha.

“This is a huge responsibility. As it is also said in our scriptures, we have to awaken divine consciousness in ourselves for the Yagya and worship of God. For this, fasts and strict rules have been prescribed in the scriptures, which have to be followed before consecration. Therefore, according to the guidance I have received from some pious souls and great men of the spiritual journey and according to the ‘Yama-Niyams’ suggested by them, I am starting a special ritual of 11 days from today,” he said.
The ‘Yam Niyam’ practice includes simple measures like yoga, meditation, and disciplined living. According to officials, Prime Minister Modi follows these disciplines in his daily routine, such as waking up before sunrise, practicing meditation, and consuming ‘satvik’ food.

In an heartfelt message, the Prime Minister recognized the widespread devotion to Lord Ram increasing across the nation as the consecration ceremony approaches.

Describing this moment as a divine blessing, he said, “I am overwhelmed with emotions! For the first time in my life, I am going through such feelings, experiencing a different sense of devotion. This emotional journey of my inner self is not an opportunity for expression but for experience. Even though I want to, I am not able to put into words its depth, breadth, and intensity. You can also understand my situation very well.”
