Patna: The Enforcement Directorate has issued fresh summons to RJD chief Lalu Prasad and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav to appear for questioning at its Patna office regarding the alleged railways land-for-jobs money laundering case, according to official sources on Friday.
Lalu Prasad is asked to appear for questioning on January 29, and Tejashwi Yadav has been summoned for the following day, January 30. A team visited the official residence of Lalu Prasad’s wife, Rabri Devi, who is also a former Bihar chief minister in Patna, to deliver the summons.
The two are instructed to appear for questioning at the Enforcement Directorate office on Bank Road in the capital. It’s noted that they had previously missed earlier summonses issued in connection with this case.
The alleged scam pertains to the period when Lalu Prasad was the railway minister in the UPA-1 government.
