FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team identified a tweet comment on the official handle of Unnao Police, carrying the viral video. While the police department did acknowledge that the truck carrying fireworks caught fire, they corrected that it was headed towards Bahraich in UP. There were also no fatalities in the accident.
We also came across an official statement by the Unnao Police Department on their official X handle, dated January 17, 2024. Here too, they explicitly clarified that the truck carrying fireworks, stationery, posters of artists and gods, and other shop supplies was headed towards Bahraich.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming a truck carrying fireworks for the Ayodhya Temple inauguration caught fire, is misleading.
