FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be FALSE.
Running Reverse Image Search on video keyframes, the NM team found a news report by Hindustan Times carrying the same video dated January,19,2024. According to this report, “Prabhas’ team spoke to India Today and called it all “fake news.” The Salaar and Adipurush actor neither donated a large sum to the temple nor agreed to sponsor food on D-day, they confirmed to the publication.”
We also came across additional reports from Republic World and Economic Times labelling it as fake news by Prabhas’s team members.
However, We could not verify the video independently, but with the above findings, we can conclusively say that the viral claim is baseless.
