Closely looking at the image, we found the account ‘@manmohan_5‘ is not the official account of Manmohan Singh. When we attempted to access it, the pop-up showed ‘This account does not
exist’.
We did a keyword search, but could not find any credible media report corroborating the viral statement.
Meanwhile, Saral Patel, National Convener of Congress Social Media Department, has clarified that neither Manmohan Singh nor Sonia Gandhi has official Twitter accounts. He urged people not to follow or believe in fake accounts claiming to belong to these political figures.
