Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the Adilabad district of Telangana, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for numerous development projects in the power, rail, and road sectors, collectively valued at over Rs 56,000 crores. Amid this, a video of PM Modi waving his hand to a huge crowd has widely circulated on social media, with claims that it is from a meeting held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Adilabad on March 4, 2024.
A Facebook user posted with a caption: “మోదీ నామస్మరణతో మారుమ్రోగిన ఆదిలాబాద్…#ModiAgainIn2024#ModiMataAbhivrudiBata#ModiHainTohMumkinHain“
(English Translation: “Adilabad changed with Modi’s naming ceremony…#ModiAgainIn2024#ModiMataAbhivrudiBata#ModiHainTohMumkinHain“)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above post, and found it to be false.
After conducting a Reverse Image Search on the video keyframes, our team discovered an X-post from PM Modi’s official Twitter handle dated April 3, 2019. The caption read, “Electrifying atmosphere at PM @narendramodi’s rally in Kolkata. #DeshKeLiyeModi.”
The footage of this public meeting was also uploaded to the official YouTube channel of the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019 with a title: “PM Shri Narendra Modi addresses public meeting in Kolkata, West Bengal: 03.04.2019”. All these clarify that these visuals are not from the Adilabad meeting held in March 2024.
Although the news of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the Adilabad meeting is real, this viral video being shared on social media is not related to this meeting. You can see scenes related to the Prime Minister’s visit to Adilabad here and here.
Thus, we can conclude that the video circulating on social media is related to Narendra Modi’s rally in Kolkata in 2019 and not his recent visit to Adilabad.
