Snake Venom Case: Noida Police Arrest Bigg Boss OTT Winner Elvish Yadav

New Delhi: The Noida police arrested YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav on Sunday in connection with the snake venom case. Yadav, along with five Delhi residents, stands accused of involvement in the illicit trade of snake venom, allegedly selling it at rave parties within the National Capital Region.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Yadav was presented in the District & Sessions Court in Surajpur, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.


  • Following an intensive operation, law enforcement officials seized a cache of illicit wildlife items, including 20ml of snake venom, five cobras, one python, two two-headed snakes, and a rat snake.
  • Preliminary findings from samples sent to the forensic science laboratory in Jaipur indicate the presence of krait venom.
  • FIR was filed at the Sector 49 police station under Indian Penal Code sections 120B, pertaining to criminal conspiracy, alongside sections 9, 39, 48A, 49, 50, and 51 of The Wildlife (Protection) Act.
  • Earlier, following a tip-off from People for Animals, an NGO spearheaded by BJP MP Maneka Gandhi, the Noida Sector 51 police apprehended five individuals from the Chevron banquet hall in November 2023. Although Yadav was not arrested at that time.
