Washington DC: Republican presidential nominee and former US President Donald Trump has opted to not select Vivek Ramaswamy as his running mate and is instead considering him for a cabinet job.
According to local reports, Trump had directly informed Ramaswamy that he wouldn’t be his choice for Vice President after he became the President. But Trump is considering offering other positions to Ramaswamy such as Homeland Security Secretary in his cabinet. Certain allies of Trump view Ramaswamy as fit for the role of Vice President of the United States due to his strong public speaking skills and his background as an Indian American son of an immigrant, which they believe could help mitigate criticism of stringent immigration policies.
