Kamala Harris Calls Trump ‘A Threat To Democracy’

Date:

Washington: US Vice President Kamla Harris called former President Donald Trump “a threat to democracy” and fundamental freedoms. She has vowed to restore Roe v. Wade, protect voting rights and address gun violence issues.

In a post on her official X handle the Vice President stated that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy and fundamental freedoms. President Joe Biden and she will restore Roe, protect voting rights and finally address our gun violence epidemic and the contrast could not have been clearer.

James Singer, the spokesperson for US President Biden’s campaign, stated that US President Donald Trump “wants another January 6” after Trump claimed on Saturday that there would be carnage in the nation if he lost the next polls, according to a CNN report.

Singer condemned his statement and said that the American people wouldn’t let Trump win the elections. Singer said that the American people are going to give Donald Trump another electoral defeat this November because they continue to reject his extremism, his affection for violence and his thirst for revenge.

While addressing a rally in Ohio the former President said that they are going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line and they wouldn’t be able to sell those guys if he gets elected. He also said that if he doesn’t get elected it will be a bloodbath.

As per American media company Politico, “It was not clear what Trump meant by his remarks, as the former US President was complaining about the automobile industry. Addressing the crowd he said China wouldn’t be able to sell their vehicles imported to the US if he gets re-elected as President.

The statement of the US Vice President comes days after Joe Biden and Donald Trump secured their nominations For Democrats and Republicans respectively setting up a rematch with each other. Trump clinched the Republican nomination for President and Biden secured the Democratic nomination.

On 7th March US President Joe Biden vowed to restore Roe vs Wade as the law of the land. In his State of the Union address he said that if the American people send me a congress that supports the right to choose, he promised that he would restore Roe vs Wade as the law of the Land again.

The President also called on American lawmakers to guarantee the right to IVF across the country. He thanked Vice President Harris for defending Reproductive freedom. Biden blamed Trump for overturning Roe vs Wade.

During his remarks, Biden urged his colleagues on the other side of the aisle to not delay any longer. Ensure that everyone in the nation has access to IVF. Like the majority of Americans, he expressed his belief that Roe v. Wade was correct. I express my gratitude to Vice President Harris for her outstanding leadership in advocating for reproductive freedom and beyond.

He also added that Donald Trump came to office to ensure Roe vs Wade was overturned. He blamed Donald Trump for overturning this law and told people to look at the chaos it has caused. He also mentioned curbing gun violence and that his administration worked towards gun violence by establishing the first-ever Office of Gun Violence Prevention in the White House which is led by Vice President Harris.
