IPL 2024: CSK Dominate GT With All-Round Performance, Secure 63-Run Victory

Chennai: Chennai Super Kings registered a commanding 63-run victory over the Gujarat Titans on Tuesday, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024.

Tushar Deshpande, Deepak Chahar, and Mustafizur Rahman each clinched two wickets, while Daryl Mitchell and Matheesha Pathirana claimed one wicket apiece, contributing to the Super Kings’ comprehensive win.

Throughout the match, GT struggled to score runs and consistently lost wickets, ultimately resulting in their significant defeat.

Earlier in a commanding display of batting prowess, Shivam Dube’s fiery half-century, along with explosive batting performances from Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad, propelled CSK to a formidable total of 206/6 against GT.

Dube emerged as the highest run-scorer for CSK, smashing a quick half-century with 51 runs off just 23 balls. Ravindra played an explosive innings, contributing 46 runs off just 20 balls, while CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad added 46 runs off 36 balls. Additionally, Mitchell and Rizvi made valuable contributions to CSK’s formidable total.

Rashid Khan claimed claiming two wickets for GT. Sai Kishore, Spencer Johnson, and Mohit Sharma each chipped in with one wicket apiece.
