The video showing an exchange of fire between an ovoid-shaped object and a vessel at sea is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim that it is a UFO fighting a US Navy ship in the summer of 2019 off the coast of California.
A Facebook user posted (archived link) the viral post with the following caption:

The incident reported by The Drive occurred in the summer of 2019, when US Navy destroyers off the coast of California were attacked by two UFOs of unknown model and origin.
Two years later, despite FBI investigations and the involvement of senior US Navy officials, it is still unknown what the flying objects were, what their intentions were, and where they came from.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team identified a YouTube video, dated January 17, 2021, on an unverified channel. The video matches with the viral clip describing that the clip is from a stimulator game — ARMA 3.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming a video showing the US Navy fighting off a UFO, is false.
