Rajnath Singh To File Lok Sabha Nomination From Lucknow Today

Lucknow: Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh will file his nomination from the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat on April 29 as per the office party bearers. UP BJP unit President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his Uttarakhand counterpart Pushkar Singh Dhami will be present during the nomination.

Deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Brajesh Pathak invited dignitaries, members of the public, and representatives of various social, commercial, and religious organizations to participate in the historic occasion on Saturday. In addition to convenors of the party’s various cells, Pathak addressed all legislators, assembly convenors, Mandal and Morcha presidents, and others on how to make the occasion significant.

According to the Hindustan Times, the deputy chief minister claimed that the quantity of development work carried out in Lucknow by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was unparalleled in any other city in the nation. Anand Dwivedi, the metropolitan president of the BJP in Lucknow, presided over the meeting. The action plan to make the nomination historic was provided by senior BJP leader Neeraj Singh, state general secretary of the BJP and in-charge of the Awadh region Sanjay Rai, and coordinator of the Lok Sabha election Mukesh Sharma.

Senior BJP leader Neeraj Singh in a conversation with Hindustan Times said that detailed information was shared on the action plan for April 29. Party’s Lucknow metropolitan president Anand Dwivedi said, “Several street meetings are being organised to send the message. The work of distributing family slips is also being done. Party workers are giving slips to family heads and distributing leaflets about the development works of the Lucknow MP.”

Rajnath will file his paperwork at the BJP office in Uttar Pradesh, which is located across from the Vidhan Sabha, according to Dwivedi. He further stated that starting at 10 a.m., the defence minister, ministers, the mayor, senior party officials, and others would ride a motorized chariot to the collectorate to register their nominations, according to a Hindustan Times report.

Rajnath is running for reelection to the Lok Sabha from Lucknow a third time. Rajnath won the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Ghaziabad before running for office for the first time in Lucknow in 2014. On May 20, Lucknow will participate in the fifth of seven phases of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, along with thirteen other constituencies. According to Dwivedi, the defence minister would land in Lucknow that evening on April 28.

He continued by saying that Singh would travel to his home in Kalidas Marg from the airport. According to Dwivedi, Singh will arrive at the party’s state headquarters on Monday at 10 a.m. and will begin the nomination procession there, as reported by Hindustan Times. Finally, Dwivedi mentioned that Rajnath Singh would present his nomination at the Collectorate office when he arrived at about midday. “He’s going to the Lucknow airport on Tuesday at 10:20 am and then head to Indore,” Dwivedi stated in an interview with Hindustan Times.
