A collage showing images of actress Sai Pallavi portraying Sita in a Ramayana movie alongside her wearing a burqa is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim that the actress is practising Islam.
A Facebook user posted (archived link) the viral post with the following caption:

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
Running the viral image through Reverse Image Search, our team found an article in India Today, dated December 30, 2021, saying that Sai Pallavi watched her then-released film Shyam Singha Roy in theatres by wearing a burqa so nobody would recognise her.
We also came across an Instagram post on an unverified profile, confirming that the actress wore a burqa just to watch her movie amidst the fans.
Finally, for the last image, we found her Instagram post, dated July 13, 2023, showing her standing in front of a mosque, where she visited as a tourist.
We could not find any evidence proving that Pallavi practises Islam. Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming actress Sai Pallavi practises Islam in real life, is fake.
