PM Modi Accuses Congress of Opening ‘Jhooth Ki Factory’

Date:

Nandurbar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a public meeting in Maharashtra’s Nandurbar on Friday and said that the party knows that they can’t compete with Modi on development and hence they have opened “jhooth ki factory” (factory’ of lies) in this election.

Addressing the crowd, PM Modi asserted that Congress, realizing its inability to compete with him on the grounds of development, has resorted to fabrications, likening it to the establishment of a “factory of lies” for the ongoing elections.

“For me, serving the deprived and Adivasis is just like serving my own family. I don’t belong to a royal family like that of Congress, I come from a humble background. I have grown up in poverty. I can completely understand what sufferings feel like. I can understand your pain,” PM Modi expressed, emphasizing his personal connection with the challenges faced by the underprivileged.

PM Modi also criticized Congress’s stance on reservation policies, alleging that the party’s approach is contradictory and detrimental to the principles laid down by Babasaheb Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

“Congress’ condition is like ‘chor machaye shor’ regarding the reservation,” PM Modi remarked. He accused Congress of attempting to reallocate reservation benefits from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to Muslims under the guise of minority welfare.

“Congress’s silence on my challenge shows they have a hidden agenda,” PM Modi declared, insinuating that the opposition party has ulterior motives behind its actions.

During his speech, PM Modi pledged to safeguard the rights of SCs, STs, and OBCs, proclaiming himself as their protector. He criticized Congress’s alleged intention to divide and manipulate reservation quotas for political gains.

The Prime Minister’s rally in Nandurbar was marked by the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, underscoring the significance of the event in the state’s political landscape.

PM Modi voiced his support for BJP candidate Heena Gavit, who is contesting against Gowaal Padavi in the upcoming elections. Gavit previously won the Nandurbar Lok Sabha seat in the 2019 elections.

Maharashtra, with its substantial 48 Lok Sabha seats, holds significant importance in national politics. The ongoing polling in the state is conducted across five phases, with the last phase scheduled for May 20.

In the previous 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the largest party in Maharashtra, securing 23 seats, followed by its ally Shiv Sena with 18 seats. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress managed to win four and one seat(s) respectively.
