This video of women performing Garba with swords is not from Kutch

A video of women performing with swords is being shared online claiming that the video is from Ashapura Mata temple in Kutch where, as per the traditions, the Rajput women play Garba with swords in their hands.

” ये कच्छ गुजरात के माता ना मढ़ स्थित आशापुरा माता मंदिर के प्रांगण का दृश्य है, जिसमें राजपुतानियां परंपरागत खुली तलवार हाथ में लेकर माताजी का गरबा खेलती है।” the caption read.

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the video, we found the video is from Rajkot.

When we looked at the video closely, we spotted a Jewellery shop in the background. When we ran a search with ‘G Khushaldas Jewellers‘, we found that it is located in Vardhman Nagar, Rajkot, Gujarat.

We also found that the same video is in circulation since 2017.

The above information proves that the video is not from Kutch but Rajkot.
