Fact Check: These viral images are NOT related to recent anti-CAA protests

In the wake of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, a few pictures are being circulated on social media claiming it to be from recent anti-CAA protests.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found the claim to be MISLEADING.

On putting the above picture through Reverse Image Search, we found that this picture was shared by a user in April 2018 during the SC/ST Act protests. Though we were unable to find the origin of the image, it proves that it is not from the recent anti-CAA protests.

Team NewsMobile found the same image on Twitter which the user had shared last year.

In conclusion, old images of a train set on fire and a woman wounded have been shared in the context of anti-Citizenship Act protests.
