FACT CHECK

NewsMobile did the fact-check, and found it to be misleading.
We found the same video uploaded by a YouTube channel AIN Kannada on July 25, 2022, with a caption: “Ganja Nashe: ಹಾಡಹಗಲೇ ತೇಲಾಡಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿಡಿಯೋ ನೋಡಿ.” (English translation: “Ganja Nashe: Watch the video of the students who floated in the morning.”) The hashtag hints that the video is from Shivvamogga, Karnataka.
We found a screenshot of the same video uploaded by a website, Crazy Bollywood, dated July 25, 2022.
The article associated with the video reads: “A video in which students of a prestigious private college in Shimoga were said to be intoxicated after taking drugs went viral on social media. But Shimoga SP B.M. has investigated this matter. Lakshmi Prasad revealed the truth. Those three students did not consume cannabis. The police have already collected information from the college student and the college administration. The incident took place on Friday evening. Students went to a bar on college road and drank alcohol.”
The video was uploaded by TV Kannada with the description: “ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾದಕ ವಸ್ತು ಸೇವನೆ. (English translation: “Drug use by college students.
