EAM S Jaishankar To Visit Moscow On November 8: Report

New Delhi: Amid the recent escalation in the Ukraine and Russia War, External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar is scheduled to visit Moscow on November 8 to meet his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. 

According to an NDTV report, the meeting will have discussions around bilateral relations and international development in the past few weeks. 

The visit comes amid a crucial moment in the Russia-Ukraine conflict where both sides have raised concerns over the use of radioactive “dirty bombs”. 

Earlier in April, Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the visit, and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and EAM S Jaishankar. 

The report further added that earlier on Sunday, the Russian Defence Minister called his counterparts in NATO to discuss the issue of the use of radioactive bombs. 

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during his talk with Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu said that nuclear weapons should not be used by any of the sides. 

This visit is also coming at a time when the Indian embassy in Kyiv has issued a fresh advisory asking all Indian citizens in Ukraine to leave the country immediately in view of escalating hostilities in the Ukraine war.
