Performing a Reverse Image Search, we traced a Facebook page having a longer version of the viral video.
At 23 seconds timestamp, a disclaimer pops up on the video stating that all characters, names, and places mentioned in the video are fictitious.
The same video was also uploaded on a YouTube channel on December 2 with a caption: “This boy got married to his older sister by going to the temple.”
Searching further, we found the boy seen in the viral video featuring different videos on the same YouTube channel.
Most of the videos uploaded on this YouTube channel were scripted.
In an Instagram post dated December 13, we came across the same woman seen in the viral video. The format of this video is also very similar to the viral video.
Thus, it is confirmed that a scripted video is falsely shared as a real incident of an older woman marrying a younger man.
