Ukraine Minister Among 16 Killed In Helicopter Crash In Kyiv

Kyiv: Amid the ongoing clash between Ukraine and Russia, a helicopter reportedly crashed near a kindergarten in Kyiv’s Brovary on Wednesday.

According to a BBC report, 16 people have been killed, including Ukraine’s interior affairs minister.

The death toll includes two children, while 10 others are being treated in a nearby hospital. The report further added that Minister Denys Monastyrskiy was with eight others in the helicopter during the crash.

According to officials, Denys’s first deputy minister and the state secretary also died in the crash. A video widely shared on social media platforms shows smoke and fire in aftermath of the incident.
